Who is eligible?
We offer a variety of internships, typically for three months, in some of the countries where we operate. Placements, which vary by location, are likely to be available if you are in the third year of a 4-year technical degree studying:
- A science or engineering-related subject
- Geology or Geoscience
- Supply chain management
- An information Technology related subject
- A Health Safety or Environmental Discipline.

What is Baker Hughes looking for?

All interns work on important projects, with clear expectations, which require some technical ability. Typical projects will be associated with ongoing activities in the part of the business you join. You will work individually or in small teams on technically challenging, mentally stimulating projects, with support from your line manager and colleagues.

Products & Technology-Research Design and Development
An undergraduate internship for our Products & Technology Function is designed to give you first-hand insights into the leading edge technology that is developed in Baker Hughes to ensure that innovation drives the solutions that are offered to meet customer requirements.
An internship in our Supply Chain Function is designed to give you first-hand insights into the key areas of Supply Chain: strategy and forecasting, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing and maintenance, logistics, distribution and customer service.
As an IT intern you will have the opportunity to get real exposure to a wide variety of areas within the Function. These may be related to projects, applications, systems, market research, contributing to IT strategic projects & initiatives and assisting on internal customer deliverables. IT interns will also work in teams to develop a proposal to a project which could potentially be implemented in our organization.
Health Safety and Environment
As a HSE Intern, you will have the opportunity to become familiar with Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) requirements, participate in technically focused on-job training, work on projects, and present the results of those projects to business leaders.
